Dr. Tina Comes is Delft Technology Fellow and Associate Professor at the Faculty Technology, Policy and Management at the TU Delft, Netherlands, and Professor in Decision-Making and Digitalisation University of Maastricht. Dr. Comes is a Senior Research Fellow at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, USA, Visiting Professor at the Université Dauphine, France, and a member of the Norwegian Academy for Technological Sciences. She serves as Scientific Director of the 4TU Center for Resilience Engineering and is Principal Investigator for the Advanced Metropolitan Solutions Institute, a collaboration between TU Delft, Wageningen University and MIT.

Her interdisciplinary research focuses on the informational and collaborative aspects of resilience in large scale distributed systems. Solidly rooted in decision analysis, she conducts research on decision-making, coordination and information sharing in complex, volatile and highly uncertain environments. Grounded in this orientation, she has conducted research with stakeholders and decision makers in private companies, public authorities and international organizations.

This perspective on decision making, resilience and humanitarian disasters is reflected in more than 100 publications in international journals and peer reviewed conferences as well as successful applications for national and international research funding, such as the HERoS project on the COVID19 response, funded by the EU in Horizon2020.
