Ms. Frederique de Groen
Junior Advisor/Researcher Data Science and Disaster Impact Assessment, Deltares
Frederique de Groen holds a MSc in Industrial Ecology (TU Delft, Leiden University) and BSc in Industrial Design (TU Delft). She was recently trained as a Data Scientist (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam). She conducts her research with a systems approach and is driven by the idea that data can make a positive impact socially, environmentally and economically.
During her employment at Deltares (since 2018) she has worked on natural hazard impact assessment and the development of multiple tools to quantify this assessment. Furthermore, her interest lie in the connection of the physical with the social, using e.g. Agent-Based Modelling to investigate human responses to climate change effects.
