Policies, technologies, practices and knowledge related to resilient infrastructure have constantly evolved in response to emerging global and local needs. Meanwhile,there are many nations, governments, non-governmental institutions, practitioners and academics who are in search of solutions but have few avenues to learn about latest developments and innovations. To strengthen the market for disaster and climate resilient infrastructure systems, the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) will develop an online CDRI Resilient Infrastructure Marketplace to match demand from CDRI Member Countries requiring technical services and assistance with companies, universities and organizations that can provide services to meet this demand. Beyond being a transactional facility, the Marketplace will help promote and structure the market for disaster and climate resilient infrastructure systems and products.

The CDRI Resilient Infrastructure Marketplace will feature as a virtual exhibition and networking space at ICDRI (17 to 19 March 2021) where conference participants can learn about new solutions offered by public and private sector agencies.

CDRI invites solution providers to showcase their knowledge or technology products online as part of the CDRI Resilient Infrastructure Marketplace. These products may include but are not limited to:

  1. Technological products for risk assessments, monitoring, data visualization, early warning of hazards, response or long-term recovery after disasters;
  2. Design solutions for resilient infrastructure and post-disaster recovery that factor in socio-economic and environmental viability;
  3. Resilient infrastructure research, publications and other knowledge products;
  4. Policy solutions at the local, national, regional or global level, including participatory processes;
  5. Financial and insurance instruments for multi-hazard risk reduction and response; and
  6. Competitions that promote new, innovative ideas and tangible tools or action plans for greater climate and disaster resilient infrastructure.

Resilient infrastructure solutions can be showcased through videos, presentations, demonstrations and posters. ICDRI participants will be able to view all Marketplace contributions throughout the three-day virtual exhibition space. This will enable participants to engage with solution providers to learn about these state-of-the-art products and solutions. ICDRI participants will also have an opportunity to schedule individual networking sessions with exhibitors to receive more detailed information through exhibitor display page and chat options

ICDRI Marketplace exhibitors will have access to the website, where they can upload product videos, podcasts, articles and other documents. Each exhibitor will be provided a dedicated virtual space. Exhibitors will be able to network with registered ICDRI participants through live video and text chats. Each exhibitor will be able to control the booking of 15-minute time slots at their convenience. Two weeks prior to the conference, the exhibitors will finish uploading documents onto the ICDRI event portal. Registered participants will be able to access the exhibition space through the ICDRI events page 24 hours a day for all three days of ICDRI. Once logged in, the participants can visit the virtual exhibition where they can view the various exhibitors and know more about their product.
