Amit Prothi is Regional Director (Asia Pacific) at the Resilient Cities Network, a grantee of the Rockefeller Foundation, that collaborates with nearly 100 global cities to protect vulnerable communities from climate change and other physical, social and economic challenges. In a career spanning nearly 25 years, and across 12 countries, Amit has worked for clients including The World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and numerous government and private sector entities on thematic topics relating directly to urban resilience, including land use planning, DRR and flood management. Recently, he managed the preparation of resilience strategies across Asian cities including Seoul & Chennai.

He was also instrumental in establishing an Urban Resilience Unit at NIUA, a national think tank that works closely with MoHUA in India. Amit has been educated in urban planning & architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, UMass Amherst, and SPA in Delhi. Amit is currently based in Singapore.
