Emma Fryer joined ERM as a Partner in April 2022.  Between 2011 and 2022 Emma led the data centre programme for technology sector trade body techUK, representing the interests of operators to Government and other stakeholders. While at techUK, Emma influenced policy, mitigated compliance burdens, alerted the sector to risks and managed specialist groups, including the UK Council of Data Centre Operators. She also negotiated a Climate Change Agreement for the sector in 2014, worth £200M+ to UK operators. 

Emma’s specialisms include sustainability and business resilience.  Her recent publication includes a Sector Energy Routemap.  In 2021 she was elected to the Board of the Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact and has worked closely with the European Commission on common objectives. In the same year she was appointed to the Advisory Council of the Infrastructure Masons.  Emma is a recipient of three prestigious awards and sits on three international judging panels.
