Takahiro Kihara is a Chief Architect in Chief Architect Office, Technology Strategy Office, R&D Group, Hitachi, Ltd. He has been active in international standardization in the field of smart cities and infrastructures for more than 10 years. He is currently serving as the chair of ISO/TC 268/SC 1 “Smart community infrastructure” as well as the convenor of its WG 6 “Disaster risk reduction”. Takahiro Kihara graduated with master degrees in Electric, Electronic and Computer Engineering as well as Business Administration. He is a member of City Planning Institute of Japan.
