Mr MJ Jardaneh

MJ Jardaneh is the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Attaché to India, a member of the U.S. Embassy’s Senior Leadership Team, and Director of the DOE Office. Prior to his current role, MJ was a Senior Advisor at DOE’s National Nuclear Security Administration. From 2015-2016, he was on secondment to the Japanese Government as a Mansfield Fellow focused on formulating the country’s nuclear power regulations and the broader energy policy in the aftermath of the Fukushima nuclear accident. Prior to joining DOE, MJ managed the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s (NRC) International Assistance Program. He also served in a variety of roles within NRC headquarters and regional offices. MJ holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Temple University and a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the States of Pennsylvania and Maryland. MJ speaks Arabic and basic Japanese.
