Mr Abraham Simpson
Disaster Resilience Infrastructure Specialist
Abraham Simpson Is Disaster Resilience Infrastructure Specialist with the Pacific Advisory Team to CDRI. Mr Simpson hold a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, with over 40 years of experience in Pacific islands in power and water utilities, land transport regulation and shipping operations. This includes almost 15 years experience as a Chief Executive in power utilities, over seven years of which included a utility that also provided water and sewerage services, land transport regulation and private sector experience operating a shipping company.
In the course of his career, Mr Simpson has led efforts in preparing the electricity grid for and responding to disastrous events such as cyclonic events.
Mr Simpson is involved in projects assisting Pacific Island power utilities with improving their resilience and responding to the challenge of climate change in alignment with the SDG 7 Goals.
