Dr Jay Fuhrman

Jay Fuhrman is a postdoctoral researcher at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory’s Joint Global Change Research Institute. He received his PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Virginia in 2021. Jay uses integrated assessment models to understand the transitions required for deep climate mitigation. Jay’s areas of active research include investigating the potential role and full life cycle impacts of hydrogen in a low-carbon economy, and the implications of large-scale deployment of carbon dioxide removal technologies for global land, water, and energy systems.
