Dr. Gundula Winter is an advisor and researcher on coastal risk and climate adaptation and a member of the Science Council at Deltares. She has more than 10 years of experience in coastal engineering and flood modelling, served as a contributing author on the 6th IPCC Assessment report and is a member of the European Knowledge Hub on Sea Level Rise. She has worked for the WB, ADB and national governments to assess coastal risk to climate change and sea level rise, to support decision-making on climate adaptation and to provide training on adaptive planning. Gundula holds a PhD from the University of Western Australia and a MSc (cum laude) from the University of Technology Delft, The Netherlands
