Dr Dipankar Ghose

Dr. Dipankar Ghose is a conservation manager with 25 years of experience. He is currently the Director of Wildlife & Habitats Programme at WWF India, based out of Delhi. This is the largest programme of WWF India, spread across 15 states and 2 Union Territories with approximately 200 people in the team. His role is to supervise the technical and administrative leads in the above programme and work closely with state government, central government ministries, scientific institutions, bilateral agencies, NGOs and local communities. This programme is targeting conservation of tigers, elephants, rhinoceros, red pandas, Nilgiri tahr and snow leopards in the wild within India. One of the areas of Dipankar’s present role is policy dialogues with government stakeholders, for infrastructure and biodiversity conservation.
